Simplify with VATRIX SIP Trunking
SIP (session initiation protocol) trunking allows your business to make phone calls over the internet instead of being tethered to a traditional phone line.
Advantages of SIP Trunking
Traditional phone lines can get expensive, but VATRIX’s SIP trunking decreases overall hardware costs by allowing your team to use your business’s preexisting internet connection to make phone calls. Additionally, SIP trunking places fewer limits on how your team collaborates by facilitating SMS and video communications alongside voice calls.*
Why Choose VATRIX SIP Trunking?
VATRIX SIP trunking will take your business to the next level. Using only traditional phone calls is holding your business back by limiting where and how your team communicates. Internet calls, on the other hand, promote an overall more efficient workplace by lowering operating costs while increasing flexibility and mobility for your employees. With VATRIX, your employees can use multiple modes of communication to innovate your company no matter where they are.
What You Can Expect with VATRIX SIP Trunking:
Work Remotely
SIP trunking allows for easier remote working. It is an advantage for many businesses to allow employees to work from home, and SIP trunking facilitates important remote functions. With VATRIX, your team can stay connected no matter where they are.
Cut Costs
SIP trunking removes the need for a traditional phone system, saving on both hardware costs (the physical PBX system that takes up money and space) and operational costs (costs associated with long-distance calls, delays, and hardware failures).
Grow Seamlessly
VATRIX SIP Trunking lets your business’s phone system grow easily by enabling you to add or remove individual lines within your plan. Doing so helps prevent you from paying for lines you don’t need, even as new members or locations join your team.
Bounce Back
Through our re-routing system which can quickly connect calls to cell phones, voice mail boxes, or branch offices, VATRIX SIP Trunking can help your team quickly recover from unexpected service interruptions.
Frequently asked questions
Why do I need multiple SIP trunking lines for my business?
You will need one SIP trunk line for each potential call occurring simultaneously within your business. So, for example, if you want your business to be able to accommodate up to twenty calls at a time, you will need to have at least twenty SIP trunking lines.
Does using SIP trunking reduce call quality?
No. Think about switching to VATRIX as simply switching call providers.
Do I need to update my phone hardware in order to use VATRIX SIP trunking?
Not necessarily, although we do work with Yealink to provide you with the best service possible.
After the chosen ring timeout, will calls default to voicemail?
Yes, unanswered calls within the specified timeout will go to voicemail.
What is SIP ALG, and should it be on or off?
The vast majority of the time, SIP ALG (Session Initiation Protocol Application Layer Gateway) should be turned off. It helps VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) packets make it through a firewall. It was originally created as internet-based telephone systems emerged, but it now causes issues with the implementation of newer systems. To keep VATRIX running smoothly for you, it would be beneficial to keep this feature turned off.
What options do I have for softphone?
VATRIX’s softphone services provide a few different options. Please check with our customer service team to check out what's right for you. VATRIX’s Auto Attendant, though not a softphone, works with your existing physical phone or softphone and allows you to manage Presence, Transfers, Call Parking, Call Queues and more. VATRIX’s mobile app lets you access the full capabilities of the PBX while on the go. This should not be a complete replacement of an office softphone system but rather supplementary to it.
