What is VATRIX VoIP?

VATRIX VoIP is a VoIP (voice over Internet Protocol) service. Essentially, instead of making phone calls over traditional POTS (plain old telephone service) lines, VATRIX VoIP allows users to make calls using their internet connection. This is because VATRIX is hosted completely in the cloud, which allows for businesses to save money (POTS lines are incredibly expensive) and physical space in their office building. VATRIX VoIP is just one of many business products offered by VATRIX, and makes up just one part of a full VATRIX solution.

What is a cloud-based PBX?

A PBX is a traditional analog phone system that runs on circuitry and hardware that is inside the actual office building. Cloud-based PBX means all the storage/technology involved is stored online, reducing cord clutter and saving on maintenance costs.

What is a softphone?

“Softphone” refers to the software of making phone calls using a computer.

What options do I have for softphones?

VATRIX’s softphone services provide a few different options. VATRIX’s Auto Attendant, though not a softphone, works with your existing physical phone or softphone and allows you to manage Presence, Transfers, Call Parking, Call Queues and more. VATRIX’s mobile app lets you access the full capabilities of the PBX while on the go. This should not be a complete replacement of an office softphone system but rather supplementary to it.
